I have been out of the Army for 40 years and went in to get my ID card for Va healthcare. Didn’t know a lot about how it worked and how to go about it. But there was a guy at the visitors desk named John and I can tell you he had amazing wealth of information and was so helpful. And on top of that he was a volunteer. Thanks John

Family Care Center was a little hard to find, so ask when you make the appointment about locating it in their commercial complex. Once located, getting there is easy and parking is ample and free. I just had my first appt and felt really good about the practice and my therapist, Brandon. The space is new, fresh, bright, and simple. It is conveniently located in the Lowry community. I felt comfortable with my therapist, his professionalism, listening skills, and capabilities. I have Kaiser and treatment here is covered under my plan, so the cost is beyond reasonable. I felt extremely relieved after my appt to have found this practice. I am looking forward to improving my life!

It's a very pretty facility unlike their sister location off of Colorado. I am hesitant to recommend this place though because I believe they like many health care professional centers such as Acadia are in it to extort the insurance companies. Most PHP programs are two week programs - at Alis I was told they don't like to set limits and that most folks are there 6+weeks. At $3,500+ per day per kid no wonder they want to keep kids there instead of helping them transition. From other therapists I have heard that is potentially detrimental to the kids as it's hard to transition out.

I’ve had 2 providers over the last 6 or so years, switching from inconsistent care with PCMs. Today I spent time with Dr Colleen Manzanares, after requesting an appointment just days ago as I was really needing support. She hands down has been the best Dr I have ever been to. She always takes her time to actually listen. On just our first visit she heard what I had to say and discovered a possible missed treatment plan, so after a series of tests I am which now on track and it is life changing.

DWR has been amazing for my mental health healing. This place saved my life. It truly is a home away from home where they help women by welcoming them without judgement and with such kindness. I would not be the woman I am today without the support from Alex, Rachel, Lilly, and Crystal. You women are absolutely amazing and I thank you so much for all your love and support … and allowing me to cry, laugh, crash out, and be myself… and of course hold me accountable in my recovery. And let’s not forget also allowing me take over the couches and floors when I wanted to sleep.. lol. The therapists are amazing and the approach to healing with group therapy, individual therapy, learning and practicing coping skills, educational learning about trauma and our brains and bodies, and psych doctors on site is absolutely invaluable to any woman who is struggling with mental health or addiction. I will forever be connected to DWR and will forever remain an Alumni who is so grateful for the opportunity I was given to be a part of this program. The friendships and community I have grown from here will remain in my heart forever.

I was in the worst shape of my life when I entered Cedar Springs. Having unfortunately been in far too many similar facilities in the past, I can honestly say the care I received here was easily the best. From the moment I arrived (zombie-like) from the hospital to the support groups, everything was top-notch. I wanted to give a few shout-outs, if I forgot you I’m sorry, but everyone was great. Hope. Hope always got my day off to a great start. From her amusing “would you rather” questions to her consistently upbeat personality, she was always a breath of fresh air. Megan. Megan put up with me showing up fairly obnoxious and saw me through my recovery back to the person I usually am. She would often mention how well I was doing and how great it was to see me becoming the real me again. Sometimes this made me cry, but by the end, her words became a source of inspiration and strength as I headed out to my sober house. Plus, she also happens to be an awesome nurse. Teice. Teice not only helped get me into my sober house, but she also acted quickly to get me into another one the same day when things weren’t working out. While it turned out I didn’t need the second sober house, her quick action in the situation was very much appreciated. She also put up with my constant questions and badgering like a champ. Harmonie. While I didn’t get to work with Harmonie as a counselor, she played a pivotal role in getting me into the 30-day program I wanted next. As with Teice, she handled my constant badgering with a smile. Most importantly, when I freaked out one Friday morning and really needed help, Harmonie was there to get me “grounded,” both literally and figuratively. Addiction is a horrible thing, and I hope no one ever has to go through it or watch a family member or friend struggle with it. That said, if a situation ever arises where you or someone you know needs help, I would recommend Cedar Springs 100%.

Outstanding care and worth the 45 minute drive for me. My experience with AllHealth has been remarkable from the first phone call, to intake and meeting with providers. Even the billing department is pleasant and I’d be willing to bet you wouldn’t be able to say that about most.

Maci Luther has been the best therapist I’ve had by far, and I’ve had like 10. She really listens to understand and she will remember the small details you tell her. She is warm and nurturing but doesn’t just mindlessly validate your concerns in a way that doesn’t help you move forward. She is very focused on helping you move forward and how you’re going to get there, with concrete steps to do so. I’ve had about 10 sessions with her so far and I’ve already seen a very significant improvement in my negative self talk and cyclical thinking. I truly can’t recommend her enough.

Dr. French and her staff (shoutout to Ember, Sidney, Alexa, and Savannah) have truly been a godsend. Dr. French is incredibly knowledgeable, but explains everything in an understandable, light hearted way for those of us without a PhD. You can tell she genuinely cares for you and provides the space for you to advocate for what treatment you think is best for your mental health. I have never felt more comfortable or safe with any other mental health professional. The staff are all kind, caring, and make you feel as comfortable as possible during treatment. I do not think I could sing the praises of this location more, 10/10 would recommend!

Frequently Asked Questions

How should I compare mental health providers in Colorado?
When comparing providers in Colorado, consider location relative to where you live or work, the specific services offered, levels of care available (such as outpatient, intensive outpatient, or inpatient), therapy approaches used, conditions treated, hours of operation, whether a website is available, accreditation status, and reviews when listed. Not all details are available for every provider, so it can help to check each facility listing directly.
What should I ask before contacting a provider in Colorado?
Before reaching out to a provider, it helps to know what you are looking for. Consider asking about current appointment availability, accepted insurance plans and self-pay or sliding-scale options, whether telehealth appointments are offered, which specific services are currently active, and whether the provider has experience treating your particular concern. Availability and services can change, so confirming details directly with the facility is recommended.
Are all services listed on Mental Health US available at every facility?
No. Services vary by facility and may change over time. The information shown in each listing reflects what was available when the record was created or last updated. Always confirm current service availability, hours, and intake procedures directly with the provider before visiting or calling.
Can I find both mental health and substance use treatment providers in Colorado?
Yes. Mental Health US includes Colorado providers that offer mental health services, substance use treatment, or both. You can use the available filters to narrow results by treatment needs, or review individual facility pages for more detailed information about the services and conditions each provider treats.
What if I cannot find the right provider in my city?
If you do not find a suitable provider in a specific city, try broadening your search by browsing all Colorado providers using the statewide view, or use the filter dropdowns to search by condition treated, therapy type, or level of care without entering a specific city. You can also browse nearby city pages to see providers in surrounding communities.
