I’ve been a patient with Alium for several years. Recently they have had some changes in providers and staff. Good changes. Justin really understands depression, he took the time to understand and treat my depression. He introduced new possibilities in my treatment plan that have actually worked. Justin goes above and beyond to find a treatment that works; he will listen, he will research. He will do anything he can to help make you feel better.

I have been going to Dr. Ramiro Guillen since 2015. He has always listened to me and prescribed me only what I needed. He changes my dosage as needed but for the most part I've been on the same medication for 9 years. I went to a different psychiatrist prior to going to Dr. Guillen and that doctor was unfortunately one of the doctors thats in the pharmaceutical companies pockets and pushed a brand new medication on me that was not covered by my insurance and I paid $500 out of pocket for a refill. It was very refreshing to have a doctor who really listened to me and prescribed me what I needed and not what would make him some extra money. I was so happy with Dr. Guillen that I brought my son to see him when we discovered that he had some issues that needed to be addressed and my son has been seeing him for 6 years. The office staff is pretty nice but can be a bit forgetful with exception to Tiffany, she is amazing! Overall I recommend going to see Dr. Ramiro Guillen to anyone needing psychiatric care.

I have been her 2 years. The front desk staff is really nice. Maggie was the first contact I had and she was great, every body else is great too. I have also talked to Rhonda a lot. The first psychiatrist I had, I didn’t care for her. My first counselor was great(Amanda) she is no longer there. I now see Christa, she is the best! Amanda my first counselor who I loved got me a new psychiatrist. Dr Jensen, he is absolutely amazing, he is so educated, I have had so many psychiatric over the last 14 years and I really have to say he is the best I’ve had, he really listens to me. I have to admit I have heard that Polara is not the best but I have to say I really, really like them, so thank you Polara for helping this bipolar girl who also has PTSD, borderline personality disorder and anxiety disorder, you guys keep it up.

My son seems to be struggling for the past few months. And the interactions I've had with staff have not been good. I was told by staff when I visited him he was coherent. Not struggling and doing pretty good. Just wasn't eating when I went to and my other son to visit him on a visitation. He was completely the opposite. He was so out of touch and so out of it was scary. It was as if he wasn't even inside of himself it's as if he wasn't in his body. Staff lied. Then I had a staff member nurse. Call me 4 days ago which I have on voicemail her voice and I was told it was extremely important that I called back. It was in regards to my son. I wasn't answering my son's phone calls because he was not in his right mind. The nurse when I called proceeded to browbeat me into answering a question about his birth father which I know nothing about and I don't even know who he is. Never met this dude and she kept insisting that I was keeping information from her that he was in the hospital and he was very sick. Well if he was in the hospital he isvery sick. I know nothing about it and you're taking this from a young man that's out of contact. I've tried to call to talk to a charge nurse or somebody to have this situation fixed over the past 4 days no communication from this company. I want to Have them call me and stop harassing me anymore but this complaint seems to be falling on deaf ears. You can't get a hold of anybody. I just want to say there are other ways to be a mom other ways than giving birth. And if I tell you I don't know who his birth father is. I don't know him nor have I ever met him and the nurse kept insisting I was keeping the information from my son who is out of contact. They need to knock it off. Contact me personally and let me know the situation has been handled

Made an appointment for therapy. They say expect a text. No text until the day after and 19 minutes past the appointment time. I called for help not stress. The receptionist said it was the system failing. I literally told the lady my life is falling apart over technology and this happens! There are no people in office here either. People that are too lazy to come to work or too agoraphobic to leave the house don’t need to mess my life up. And I don’t need more technology frustration or my schedule being disrupted because YOU can’t make the appointment and fail to inform me 24 hours in advance! No confidence in your ability to do your part as agreed upon. Going somewhere else… why I chose to come back after the last time the psych talked me into Ritalin and I ended up in Prescott psych ward for a suicide attempt after fighting 4 policemen… I’ll never understand. Wendy called me and assured me I could have two in person appointments. I told her the receptionist said I would come and be on a computer. She said well yeah you will be on the computer. That’s not in person.

Dorian Peters is the best BHT!!! She is awesome and has gone through what I’ve been through and even way more. I love her because she is caring and understanding without judgement but also straightforward and tells you what you need to hear not what you want to hear. JB and Ashley are great also! Really good place and great people just give them a chance. They are also all recovering addicts so give them a damn break! 🖤

At Axiom Care Residential, I was met by a team that was fully dedicated to helping me through the next stage of my recovery. Leya was consistent and firm, grounding me when my steps were still shaky and uncertain. Kelly was a warm and motherly presence that brought a light to the difficult moments. Chris and Darla were always on top of my medications—accurate, timely, and handled with their best efforts. Diane and David helped me to shape an aftercare plan, setting me up to remain successful in treatment. Each of them worked tirelessly, shared their experience, strength and hope to teach us how to move forward with confidence. I am truly grateful for their care and compassion, which has helped me to rebuild my foundation.

i started going here after my time at ARC getting sober off multiple substances. i had a consoler that would talk to me every time one-on-one about my mental health, my coping mechanisms and triggers, etc but when it came to the pyschiatrist that prescribed the meds she would talk to me over the webcam! why would i have to go into this establishment every 3 months if my pyschiatrist sees me via the computer every time. they prescribed me medication that worked for me but in the end, after a year+, they wanted to randomly drug test me to 'ensure my medication or future medication doesnt interfere with' whatever you know it rubbed me the wrong way, and with all my other issues with them. i simply left and didnt go back.

If there are any good reviews then they wrote them themselves. This place is a nightmare! First of all when I arrived I was the only client. I found it very strange but stuck it out ignoring my intuition telling me to leave. I was left alone with no staff the first couple of days. I had to purchase my own food, pay for my laundry to be done cause the washer was broken. A few days after being there alone ,the owner showed up. He had no money for food or anything and still was taking clients. I fealt bad they weren't being fed so I used my own money and cooked meals for everyone. He maybe paid back $100 out of the $500 I probably spent . I knew it had to be insurance fraud. This place was a joke. The owner gets drunk and starts arguments with clients and threatens to throw you out if you defend yourself. It needs to be closed down! There is so much more that went on including the water being shut off twice . The only good thing about Destiny Sober Living was the other clients I met while being there.

Terros is pretty bad. I wonder how may people relapse because some Terros staff can be inept. One of their MAT staffers suggested narcan be taken home in case of relapse, pathetic to give that message to someone trying to free themselves from addiction. It seems Terros helps people plan for an inevitable relapse, pathetic. I wish there was someone intelligent AND caring who could hear some experiences Terros staff gives to those trying to be sober. Some staffers are caring, but some in critical positions don't care or if they do, they don't show they care. When Terros messed up a prescription refill, it caused major issues but luckily we avoided a relapse due to withdrawals. I sure hope our interactions improve. I sure hope someone on the executive team or board sees this because we would discuss our experiences thus far. Use Terros with caution. We are researching an online option called Bicycle Health in case we continue getting a message that Terros expects a relapse in our case. I wanted and expected better from Terros.

My son had a relapse at the beginning of Dec. He signed himself into HOPESS from detox for a 30 day residential treatment. He was admitted to the program and told he would be move to one of the residential houses. In the meantime his food card was taken, he was assigned to a bed and told when meals, 2 groups, and smoke breaks would be. He was told that his therapist was Obe and he would be meeting with him. Well Obe did not meet with him and my son went to his office and asked when he would be transferred. Obe told him that he did not think he would be transferred and did not have a case plan and would be meeting with him soon. As my son’s advocate I spoke with Obe and tried to get the wheels moving. Obe said he would contact his supervisor to ask about the transfer and would get back to my son in a couple of days. This never happened. A week later my son went back to Obe’s office and asked if his supervisor had got back to him and was told she had not but he would have a case plan soon.

Prescriber and staff ignore faxes and PA requests from pharmacy. Was prescribed a medication five weeks ago, still hasn't been filled. Spoke with no less than seven people. I try calling every week. Nobody gives a shit. Place is not like a real doctor's office whatsoever. Go to a PCP to get meds, because you're not getting them here.

Frequently Asked Questions

How should I compare mental health providers in Arizona?
When comparing providers in Arizona, consider location relative to where you live or work, the specific services offered, levels of care available (such as outpatient, intensive outpatient, or inpatient), therapy approaches used, conditions treated, hours of operation, whether a website is available, accreditation status, and reviews when listed. Not all details are available for every provider, so it can help to check each facility listing directly.
What should I ask before contacting a provider in Arizona?
Before reaching out to a provider, it helps to know what you are looking for. Consider asking about current appointment availability, accepted insurance plans and self-pay or sliding-scale options, whether telehealth appointments are offered, which specific services are currently active, and whether the provider has experience treating your particular concern. Availability and services can change, so confirming details directly with the facility is recommended.
Are all services listed on Mental Health US available at every facility?
No. Services vary by facility and may change over time. The information shown in each listing reflects what was available when the record was created or last updated. Always confirm current service availability, hours, and intake procedures directly with the provider before visiting or calling.
Can I find both mental health and substance use treatment providers in Arizona?
Yes. Mental Health US includes Arizona providers that offer mental health services, substance use treatment, or both. You can use the available filters to narrow results by treatment needs, or review individual facility pages for more detailed information about the services and conditions each provider treats.
What if I cannot find the right provider in my city?
If you do not find a suitable provider in a specific city, try broadening your search by browsing all Arizona providers using the statewide view, or use the filter dropdowns to search by condition treated, therapy type, or level of care without entering a specific city. You can also browse nearby city pages to see providers in surrounding communities.
