Catholic Charities Community Services has been a cornerstone of compassionate care in Phoenix since 1933. Originally founded to advocate for vulnerable children, the organization has grown into a comprehensive social services agency serving a broad spectrum of individuals and families in need. Today, Catholic Charities supports veterans and their families, survivors of sexual exploitation, victims of domestic abuse, refugees, and individuals experiencing homelessness across the Phoenix metro area.
The agency operates out of two centrally located offices on 19th Avenue with convenient access via Valley Metro Rail. The administrative headquarters at 5151 N. 19th Ave. houses executive leadership, administrative teams, and several key programs. Just south, the office at 5119 N. 19th Ave. focuses on family preservation and other direct services.
Among its many offerings, Catholic Charities provides professional counseling services for individuals, couples, and families, available both in person and via telehealth. Sessions are typically held Monday through Thursday, with evening appointments offered to accommodate busy schedules. The counseling program emphasizes accessibility, flexibility, and personalized support to promote emotional healing and resilience.

I recently had the opportunity to attend a meeting at Desert Recovery, and I must say, it was an eye-opening experience. From the moment I arrived, I was struck by the kindness and compassion exhibited by the staff. They genuinely care about the well-being of each client, creating a welcoming and supportive environment.
Amazing experience,They were able to get me in when the other clinic canceled my appointment without notifying me. The doctor there was so kind and amazing. I felt very comfortable with her. thank you guys for everything. I definitely will be coming back in the future. :)
It Altaf is the best. She is professional and very genuine with her care. She accepts that you are not perfect and does not judge. She works with you with your health as a priority.
I don't know where I would be without the help and guidance of the people at 2nd Chance. The people at the front desk are incredible. They are truly caring people who want to help you with whatever your needs are & are friendly and approachable. You are not just another patient with 2nd Chance. Curtis is hands down the best psychiatrist I've ever seen. He is worth it for paying a visit to 2nd Chance. I have been seeing him on and off since maybe 2017? I will go anywhere in order to ensure my medications do not get played with and I get listened to, and I am taken seriously. Everyone who works here is seriously amazing. I love coming here every week for Spravato treatment with Joneyda... Even the prior auth. dept. works diligently to get you your medications. Everyone here is on your side and so friendly. And there's even a little zen garden out back if you get here early that you can go check out! Seriously love this place.

My son is 18 and struggling with a fentanyl addiction. To say the very least it’s been hard and traumatic. My son went to the crossroads detox facility. The 12 step program works miracles and the people that work within the facility have first-hand experience often times with their own addiction recovery. Rose and Bridgette were incredibly impressionable on my son and worked very hard to influence him positively. If I could afford to open a dozen more of these places I would. God bless these people and those struggling with addiction.
