This review is long past due. I won't mention her name but a very special person worked there. I'll never forget her but liked owls. Hard to not think 🤔 of her amazing personality when I see them. At one point the skill building had her and another assigned and of course they worked sooooooo well with the crisis staff when I was in need. I had back to back pregnancies. One was unplanned and I'm sure their are mothers out there who have had children THROWING UP AT THE SAME TIME! What an overwhelming experience! Couple that with some medication experimentation and some other serious stressors and needless to say I was more in need of support than even I realized at the time. How grateful I am looking back and realizing how beneficial they were in giving my children a good start at a young age. The warmth, the kindness...I still remember my daughter dancing on the table 😆 at a doctors appointment and the worker handling it soooo well with so much warmth. They were so organized and always did such a phenomenal job at meeting me half way at keeping essential appoints and breaking the ice at getting new services or finding new goals, outings. I always thought it was a nice touch that places like this took me to donate blood do I could have an opportunity to give back and not feel like a burden on society. The way they provide support and inform about hormonal changes ( postpartum can be 18 months etc. is soooo great). Again, it wasn't until I left the area that I fully realized how wonderful these services are and how much they contributed to my childrens well being. The coordination between the PCPs, CHIP, Psychiatrists, CRISIS team, therapists is so impressive, but what's more impressive is the T L C. To those of you that work there that are Christians, keep fighting the good fight and diligently working hard to bring a ray of hope to lives of the vulnerable...you did for us! 🙏💖

I recently visited True North Clinic with a family member and we chose to leave shortly after arriving. One of the staff members, Jen Fariss, smelled strongly of cigarettes and I overheard her and a few coworkers gossiping about another staff member, including using mental health diagnoses as insults. This felt extremely unprofessional and inappropriate, especially in a mental health setting. Mental health is not a joke, and hearing staff speak this way made the environment feel unsafe and not supportive. I hope the clinic addresses these concerns to create a more respectful and professional atmosphere.
