I have a new therapist at a different practice for another purpose, but Tara at PCMH was the first therapist that was able to genuinely help me. I learned a lot with Tara’s help and was able to make strides. The few interactions I had over the phone with other staff were pleasant, never had an issue. Mainly reviewing to recommend Tara if you’re needing a good therapist.

I was fortunate to be recommended here for post adoption counseling for my daughter who was having adjustment issues. The therapist was amazing, the center was warm, inviting and knowledgeable and helpful. Its rare that people are good at their jobs and good with people, delivering the hard to hear “news” and/or the good “news” with equals compassion. I will be forever grateful for all her therapist Sevil did for her and the help I received from the Center. I would definitely recommend it for your post adoption needs.

This place crushed me. I had hope and was finally recovering. I was due to see this place before a huge milestone in my life until I received a call that i am no longer wanted at their services because i have no more money. So you see if you feed them their money they are all good and mighty but once they drain you, you’re nothing to them. The trust you build with them was never genuine, it was all mounted on money. At the end you’re left at relapse and disappointment. Pilsen wellness center doesn’t care.

I am giving Trillium 5 stars because of my IOP counselor Mackenzie. Mackenzie is well educated on addiction/ relapse prevention, always runs the class extremely well, is respectful and kind to everyone, & genuinely cares about each person’s problems in her group. She is very professional and good at what she does and Trillium should be proud to have someone like her working for them!

I take my son to the belleville location, he sees a counselor there and sees one of the psychiatrist for his medication needs. We haven't had any issues since coming there. My son really enjoys going to see his counselor, especially on the days the weather is nice and they go walk and tall outside. The ladies at the front desk have always been nice and helpful. And since seeing his psychiatrist there has been a huge improvement with his moods and behavior at home and at school. As of right now I'm a happy mom seeing where he's at now versus a year ago.

If I could give negative stars I would. There is no help here! This is not the place to go unless you want to be judged and talked about. Drug tests are not done properly. You get punished for being honest about your past. They will make you feel worthless! They have no way of challenging the drops either! Only word of mouth!! BE CAREFUL HOW YOU speak as well during discussions! In the waiting area I over heard staff talking badly about a current member there. They need to re evaluate the “staff”and procedures! That’s what you get for having a place with no recovering addicts. Just a place that works closely with courts and just wants to see you fail! They Type everything in a computer and see what the computer recommends… REALLY?! Don’t be honest about your past either! Because of your past even if you are clean not using they will send you somewhere else because they do not know how to help or want too! Addiction is a disease to them its punishment! In recovery you are supposed to be honest about your addiction if you go here DO NOT BE HONEST! they will not even give you a chance or try to help they will just push you off “for a HIGHER LEVEL OF CARE” oh and also they charge for drug tests and then tell you fail even if you are clean! 20$ a drop and then tell you you failed and judge you some more!!

Horrrible services horrible therapist for my fiancé. He has Asperger syndrome and ADHD in terms he has autism the therapist is very disrespectful. most therapist are usually supposed to be friendly and nice and understanding and wanting to help but his therapist however, was very disrespectful towards him every session just wanted to get him out of there because she wanted him to have his medicine and just be done she wouldn’t be friendly. She wouldn’t talk to him nicely. and would not keep her word on things he was sent to the hospital because, she gave him too high dosage and said that it was normal on what he was feeling with the medicine and then he was put in a hospital two days ago and she told him if the medicine was causing problems she would lower the dosage and she never did that after he was sent to the hospital i could’ve serious lost him do your job and we told her multiple times about the reaction ! Do your research and look at his medical records before giving to a person , but she refused that after she said she was going to. Also The lady at the front in the office wasn’t even helpful when I said that he was going through something because the dosage was wrong. She told me to call the hotline. She wasn’t helpful at all. please don’t go here I went here years ago and they diagnosed me with something that was not even true and they also gave me the wrong medicine , please go somewhere else because there’s no guarantee that they’re going to treat you and i’m pretty sure if they are doing it to my fiancé are doing it to other people. SOOOO UNPROFESSIONAL.

If you are serious about getting mental help for mental disorders this is the place to go I've been seeing Kyle for about a month now and he is a really good counselor to take advice from I will continue to be coming back for my treatment and I look forward to sharing good stories with the counselor as the future goes on, and the psychiatrist is a really smart man I can see he's got a good 25 or 30 years of experience in the field at doing what he does best throughout my experience coming here my satisfaction rating is a 10 on a 1 to 10 scale I'd give this place 10 stars if possible.

My granddaughter came to the clinic Friday and the NP said she had strep throat and would send medication to our pharmacy. Well the medication never was sent so that’s the whole weekend with her crying and cannot swallow. So Monday morning we go there and explain and the lady actually never apologized said she was sorry or the Nurae Practitioner error and we will get it done immediately. No she said they may call you today or maybe tomorrow. No one ever comes to the phone and she still has no medication. This place is appalling they forgot to CARE. Never ever come here I will update when they answer the phone and she gets her medication

Rude nuse carol, she is very unhelpful, not well educated about meds, gets angery and frustrated, Dr only comes in twice a week, actually she's on video, pushes clients through quickly, prescribed wrong meds, makes clients . more sick doesn't check med interactions probably doesn't care much. They all are paid through medicare, so this maybe why bridgeway is so poor in mental health care. Nurse can't call talk to the doctor if you have a problem with the meds, the nurse will not call the doctor, told to wait until next appointment that's a month later you don't know what to do feeling more depressed on the meds they put you on. But told to stay on them until next appointment. They tell you to call 911. They wait really until you have a crisis. Very poor inadequate actually damaging health care, shut it down, don't waste government money anymore on this place. Or someone of an higher authority make extreme improvements. I also left my counselor who yawned during my sesson she yawned with being tierd and I felt she was bored with me she yawned constantly

Frequently Asked Questions

How should I compare mental health providers in Illinois?
When comparing providers in Illinois, consider location relative to where you live or work, the specific services offered, levels of care available (such as outpatient, intensive outpatient, or inpatient), therapy approaches used, conditions treated, hours of operation, whether a website is available, accreditation status, and reviews when listed. Not all details are available for every provider, so it can help to check each facility listing directly.
What should I ask before contacting a provider in Illinois?
Before reaching out to a provider, it helps to know what you are looking for. Consider asking about current appointment availability, accepted insurance plans and self-pay or sliding-scale options, whether telehealth appointments are offered, which specific services are currently active, and whether the provider has experience treating your particular concern. Availability and services can change, so confirming details directly with the facility is recommended.
Are all services listed on Mental Health US available at every facility?
No. Services vary by facility and may change over time. The information shown in each listing reflects what was available when the record was created or last updated. Always confirm current service availability, hours, and intake procedures directly with the provider before visiting or calling.
Can I find both mental health and substance use treatment providers in Illinois?
Yes. Mental Health US includes Illinois providers that offer mental health services, substance use treatment, or both. You can use the available filters to narrow results by treatment needs, or review individual facility pages for more detailed information about the services and conditions each provider treats.
What if I cannot find the right provider in my city?
If you do not find a suitable provider in a specific city, try broadening your search by browsing all Illinois providers using the statewide view, or use the filter dropdowns to search by condition treated, therapy type, or level of care without entering a specific city. You can also browse nearby city pages to see providers in surrounding communities.
