Just did a walk in intake so far. The staff member Ian was exceptionally helpful, and polite, and a very kind and professional man..my boyfriend and I showed up ad walk ins just after working on cars all.day we were a bit messy. Ian didn't change his behavior towards us though. He was still very professional and spoke.to us the same way he spoke to all the other clients

I went here in August for detox from alcohol after telling my local ER I wanted to off myself. I have honestly never been treated with such compassion in my life. Every nurse and all staff were wonderful people who helped me get through a horrible time. Also I don’t know if it was the detoxing and medication or what but I thought the way they let you pick your food and actual taste of food was great as well. I swear some of the women who worked up at the front desk area were literal angels they were so nice and caring.

This woman determined that my exhusband is “mentally healthy.” A man who cheated on me when I was pregnant, lied when caught and gaslit, tortured and abused me until he left at a “more appropriate” time, when our son, the youngest of three, was 1 year old. Guess she thinks mentally healthy men lose all of their instincts to protect women and children. She thought nothing of the fact that he bought a ring for another woman when I was three months postpartum, and when I called him out on it, he twisted the story and accused me of never liking the gifts he gave. She didn’t seem to think it was problematic that his phone records showed numerous calls to STD testing companies when I was 2 months post partum, which I found when I pulled phone records. Maybe his excuse that he feared “a latent STD from college resurfaced” made sense to her. She found the fact that he jumped from a 9 year marriage, straight to his mistress straight into another 6 year relationship, which he has now destroyed by cheating, to be healthy behavior. Who needs time off to self-reflect?

Mindy Solomon has a practice of calling in parents to CPS if they decide not to pursue aggressive treatment in her care. She did this to me after our first meeting. Treatments where they held my kid down while she screamed - daily. Because of the reports to authorities, I was legally required to pursue months of unnecessary treatment, which was eventually reported as insurance fraud. She told me directly that she distrusts mothers in particular and refuses to deal with them. She even reported weekly meetings with me to insurance when she refused to talk to me because she admitted directly that she is sick of dealing with "mothers" who are too empathetic with their kid. My kid, who Solomon wrote in the medical record "did not have an eating disorder," was able to eat freely as soon as "treatment" ended, has been off and on suicidal since this happened

February is supposed to be national mental health awareness month. Suffering a very serious mental health crisis I contacted them and the very unconcerned, unsympathetic woman on the phone said they didn't have an appointment for many months out. This, during national mental help awareness month. Now they have covid-19 ads all over the place talking about if you need help we are here for you. Where were they for me in February when I almost didn't make it through? Seems like everyone once to capitalize on this pandemic.

Can’t speak to how the therapist quality is, as I didn’t make it past the front desk. Spoke several times on via text and phone with the receptionist, Kayla, who told me to bring my insurance card and credit card to my first appointment and I would fill out the intake papers in person “since my appointment was coming up so soon.” Arrived today, and they had nothing in the computer. The owner attempted to smooth things over and told me I could have a “diagnostic evaluation” today with a male therapist, when I specifically asked for a female therapist and for a specific therapy (EMDR). Several of the therapists present in the room proceeded to attempt to persuade me to do an evaluation with one of them, but said I would potentially be matched with someone else. Not to mention they attempted to gaslight me that I called the wrong office when I had a voicemail with their receptionist clearly stating her name and texts with the Longmont office. Disorganized practice and very condescending 20 minutes of my time. Bottom line- avoid this place; even if you make an appointment, clearly it’s not scheduled and they make you feel guilty for their incompetencies and shortcomings.

Unprofessional treatment as oppose what they business same says. Dr. Tiamo called me today to reject me by making ridiculous comments on my mental health and giving me ridiculous medical advice WITHOUT doing any assessments. She knows NOTHING about me and my current mental health condition and what I need. My phone conversation with her and the intake department are recorded. They have given me conflicting information between the intake department and Tiamo, all recorded on my phone. I'm an immigrant and they tried to profile me by asking ridiculous details such as my native language, cultural background etc. When I refused to respond such ridiculous questions they had they have to ask these question that have NOTHING TO DO with what kind of mental health I need or my mental health condition other then PROFILING people.. I'm trying to reach out the correct person to file a formal grievance. I had only two phone conversations with two departments. My both phone conversations with this organization went WEIRD, and I've never had such weirdness with any other mental health organization before..!! I think first they have to follow the same policies so they won't tell completely opposite things and their mental health "professionals" should be trained to NOT making assumptions about people's mental health conditions without performing a valid assessments and give them medical advice other than what is requested.. I have no idea where this society is headed, undeserving, unprofessional people are rewarded...

I had a divisive experience here. The pharmacists and psychiatrist I experienced were fine and helpful, but the therapy team eventually fell off for me. My recent experience is switching to another therapist as a my current one left, and eventually was left with 0 response or help to get another therapist.

Really disappointed. I called to make an appointment but was told that they only do the first appointment as a multiple hour appointment and they’re closed on Fridays. Told them about my work schedule to see if they could work something out. Was then told, in a very snarky tone, that that’s how they do first appointments and that’s that. Only tried to go here because of how nice they were when they did MHFA training at my job. If their goal is to help out mental health in Grand County then definitely would recommend not snapping at people looking to get help.

After scheduling 2 weeks in advance, they made sure I knew the financial requirements because I was paying out of pocket but that was it. After driving an hour to this facility, she informs me they need a letter from his dad to see him. I asked why this was never said before. She tells me, I don’t know, I didn’t schedule you.

Frequently Asked Questions

How should I compare mental health providers in Colorado?
When comparing providers in Colorado, consider location relative to where you live or work, the specific services offered, levels of care available (such as outpatient, intensive outpatient, or inpatient), therapy approaches used, conditions treated, hours of operation, whether a website is available, accreditation status, and reviews when listed. Not all details are available for every provider, so it can help to check each facility listing directly.
What should I ask before contacting a provider in Colorado?
Before reaching out to a provider, it helps to know what you are looking for. Consider asking about current appointment availability, accepted insurance plans and self-pay or sliding-scale options, whether telehealth appointments are offered, which specific services are currently active, and whether the provider has experience treating your particular concern. Availability and services can change, so confirming details directly with the facility is recommended.
Are all services listed on Mental Health US available at every facility?
No. Services vary by facility and may change over time. The information shown in each listing reflects what was available when the record was created or last updated. Always confirm current service availability, hours, and intake procedures directly with the provider before visiting or calling.
Can I find both mental health and substance use treatment providers in Colorado?
Yes. Mental Health US includes Colorado providers that offer mental health services, substance use treatment, or both. You can use the available filters to narrow results by treatment needs, or review individual facility pages for more detailed information about the services and conditions each provider treats.
What if I cannot find the right provider in my city?
If you do not find a suitable provider in a specific city, try broadening your search by browsing all Colorado providers using the statewide view, or use the filter dropdowns to search by condition treated, therapy type, or level of care without entering a specific city. You can also browse nearby city pages to see providers in surrounding communities.
