I had a medical emergency today involving my eye, and this clinic did absolutely nothing to help me. And because this is my HMO PCP, there was literally nowhere else I could turn for a referral. I had to keep reiterating to whosoever I spoke with that this was a medical emergency, and that my symptoms matched those of either retinal detachment or a mini-stroke, and they still would not help me out. I needed to be seen by an ophthalmologist asap, and they kept trying to set me up with an optometrist for next week, who would then need to refer me to an ophthalmologist, and who knows how long that would take. A real doctor’s office that cares about its patients would’ve gotten you in too see a doctor, even if by a quick video visit, who could then contact an ophthalmologist on my behalf and get me an emergency appointment. These people did absolutely nothing to help. She kept saying to go to urgent care, but urgent care doesn’t have the necessary equipment to deal with eye issues. It seems the people answering calls aren’t equipped to handle emergencies, which is concerning. On top of that, the last time I visited this clinic, I saw two dead roaches in the waiting room and the whole office smelled like food. It’s not exactly the sterile environment you’d hope for in a medical office. And when I was in establishing care, I didn’t even get to see a doctor. It was a PA. I will not be renewing my health plan if it requires me to go this totally unhelpful and unprofessional clinic, and if you get assigned this clinic, I highly advise you switch, too.

This is probably the worst clinic I've been to. The ladies at the front desk (aside from being morbidly obese) do absolutely nothing! All they do is talk about food while they sip on their Starbucks drinks, meanwhile everyone's just waiting to be seen and it takes forever! I had an appointment at 8:15am and was not seen till nearly 9:30am but if you arrive a minute late, they say they can't see you anymore. Do better!

Got here yesterday with low expectations. Greatly exceeded - much worse. The look good on paper, talk a good game about programs and policies. What it is just one low step above living on street. * building is old and solid but no one cares to maintain, upgrade, keep clean. Residence floor looks like an abandoned army barracks from 60's. Slapped some posing on walls - everything else filthy, breaking down and depressing * shared bed area - my assigned bed area was next to the filthy window A/C. Diet and dust everywhere. I accidentally touched the top of nightstand and shocked by random sticky goo liquid. No one mentioned cleaning supplies either! There is a shelf, desk area assigned to me - full of dirt, debris papers. Including two cups with 20 or so random prescrip medications, and pills scattered on surface. Who cleans this nasty place when someone leaves? NO ONE. This place is physically Nasty. I might make a separate post about the people and the program as they call it

Very little concern for the person. The mental health advocates are people with the title only. Lamc can provide medication and little else.

I went to a USC hospital called LAC + USC for insomnia and acute anxiety. I didn't have insurance at the time so they "bussed" me to this place near Compton. A male nurse punched me in the face and they wouldn't call the police. Desk nurse was CiCi. The male nurse was Nigerian or something, and his name was John.

I do not recommend this place, vista del mar called an ambulance on me for a small deal and when I was there I would get harrased physically and verbally I told them to stop myself but they wouldn't stop so when I then asked the staff for help they were useless and didn't even help me and crazy kids running around like its some playground sneaking into restroom which the restroom I dont highly prefer it, as there is no lock and its like a curtain lack of privacy and respect. vista del mar is highly strict with their policies but they lack accountability and patient treatment. even one staff encouraged patients to be immature and wreckless. and they are helpless and unprofessional.

Arriving to Los Angeles seven months ago, with only a duffel bag. I was greeted at APAIT and quickly given assistance with housing to stay off the streets. I then learned about programs that they offered and took advantage of those. And I could probably say that they assisted me on getting my Life back on track.

This place is a scam. I used insurance and I verified multiple times that I would not have any copay. I told them if I have a copay then I do not want to make an appointment. Happier Living assured me they verified my insurance and I had no copay. I had 2 appointments over a month ago and my credit card was charged twice this week for $25 each. No warning, no explanation, just took $50 from my bank account SIX weeks later.

Please be careful seeking treatment from CBT California. I was a patient of Dr. McFarr’s for 12 years. When I asked for my records, Dr. McFarr admitted to me in an email that due to "clerical error" my records were destroyed "accidentally." She said in the email that they "shouldn't have been shredded."
