Southcentral Foundation’s Quyana Clubhouse, located at 225 Eagle Street in Anchorage, Alaska, offers a nurturing and supportive environment for adults aged 21 and older who are living with severe and persistent mental illness. This structured day program provides a safe space where participants can build community, share meals, and engage in activities with others who are on similar wellness journeys. Drawing from Alaska Native traditions and values, the program delivers a culturally-informed model of care that blends behavioral health services with primary medical care.
The Quyana Clubhouse promotes overall wellness through a wide range of integrated services, including case management, medication support, skill-building sessions, individual and group therapy, health education, and personalized fitness planning. Group exercise and tobacco cessation programs further enhance the center’s holistic approach to mental and physical well-being. Participants also benefit from nutritious meals through the federally supported Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP). Designed for individuals who do not require constant supervision or nursing care, the clubhouse supports clients in fostering independence, improving daily functioning, and developing long-term strategies for sustained mental health recovery.
