Middle Tennessee Mental Health Institute (MTMHI) is a state-operated psychiatric hospital located in Nashville, Tennessee. Serving 18 counties in the region, MTMHI provides inpatient mental health care to adults with severe and persistent mental illness, particularly those who have no access to private services. The facility offers 217 psychiatric beds across acute, sub-acute, and forensic units, delivering care primarily on an emergency involuntary basis.
