The staff has played a monumental role in my journey. i am forever grateful and blessed to have met a team of professionals so dedicated to the success of their clients. I've learned many coping skills that have improved my mental health, I'm 3 days away from achieving 8 months sobriety and i have a future i never dreamed possible. This is an animalistic place.

My son had a stroke and was sent to metroheath old Brooklyn, he was on the stroke floor. Therapy was excellent, nursing was horrible, they did not know how to treat a young patient that had a stroke. It was the worst experience and my son was in fear of his life especially with night shift, they knew nothing about care and compassion and they definitely had bad attitudes, especially if they had to answer the phone. They didn't know how to speak in a caring manner to my son and treated him like a prisoner he was afraid to come out of his room. They need more education on how to treat a stroke victim and how to talk to someone with a respect, . Day shift was a little better there was only one nurse and one assistant that actually treated my son decent. I think the place should be shut down. It was the worst experience for my son, who could not defend himself due to speech deficit and unable to move his right side. Luckily he was discharged and is doing much better now that he is out of that toxic environment.
