Family Service Agency, located on South Gilbert Road in Mesa, Arizona, has been serving the community for more than a century with a mission to strengthen and preserve the individual and the family. What began in the early 1900s as Associated Charities has evolved into a trusted provider of counseling, addiction treatment, and supportive care for individuals of all ages. The agency’s counseling program emphasizes outpatient therapy as a practical alternative to inpatient care, focusing on helping children, adolescents, and adults overcome challenges that interfere with daily functioning and quality of life.
The center offers a broad spectrum of services including individual, family, group, and couple counseling, as well as medication management and crisis intervention. Family Service Agency integrates traditional psychotherapeutic approaches with specialized therapies such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Eye Movement Desensitization & Reprocessing (EMDR), and trauma-focused interventions. This comprehensive approach allows the agency to address a wide range of conditions, including anxiety, depression, post-traumatic stress disorder, addiction, eating disorders, and family relationship challenges.
In addition to therapy, the Substance Use Disorder program provides holistic, evidence-based treatment for individuals struggling with addiction. Services include assessments, treatment planning, family support, education on recovery and health risks, and integrated psychiatric care. By combining counseling with medication management when appropriate, Family Service Agency ensures clients receive individualized treatment that fosters emotional healing, personal growth, and long-term recovery.
