The County of San Diego Behavioral Health Services – Southeast Center, located at 3177 Ocean View Boulevard in San Diego, California, is part of the county’s comprehensive system of mental health and substance use disorder services. As one of nine county-operated programs, the Southeast Center connects residents with essential care across the lifespan, from children and adolescents to adults and older adults. With a strong emphasis on coordination, the center provides outpatient and residential services, medication-assisted treatment, case management, and recovery support designed to meet the needs of individuals at every stage of their recovery journey.
Through its role in the countywide Behavioral Health Services department, the Southeast Center contributes to an extensive network of more than 300 contracted providers and 800 individual fee-for-service clinicians. The program emphasizes a continuum of care, integrating services with hospitals, justice partners, and community health providers to ensure individuals receive the right level of care at the right time. My stay at Jackson House Residential Treatment Center was truly a positive experience. The entire staff deserves gratitude for their exceptional care and dedication, making my time there a pleasure. The professionalism and personal touch demonstrated by everyone were truly outstanding.
The professionalism of the staff as well as (what should be baseline,) human dignity/compassion/desire to listen and understand exactly where youre at w your recovery really stuck out to me. I would recommend it to anyone struggling and ready to take the next step, one day at a time, we can do it :)
Project Recovery staff have always been welcoming, loving and truly concerned about what’s going on in my life. They care about my sobriety of course, but also my physical and most importantly, my Spiritual health! What a blessing to know that there is a place that I can go where I am not only safe but in an environment with such a loving and caring group of people!
I visited here for my son’s suicidal behavior. Doctor was very supportive. He explained the condition very well and his treatment has helped him recover quickly. Value for money.

Healthy Life Recovery has truly saved my life. The staff members at all levels really care about their clients and go above and beyond to meet their needs. A lot of programs claim to have individualized programming, but often fall short. Healthy Life Recovery works with each individual to identify individual needs and develop a treatment plan to address all areas. Staff members at Healthy Life are personable and many have overcome their own battles with addiction and can very much relate to clients. They are personable, yet firm and set strong boundaries, which gives a helpful balance of structure and emotional support. Healthy Life has a system built in to address the physical, mental and spiritual pieces that are imperative in recovering from addiction. Healthy Life builds meetings and gym time into their days in addition to groups. They also assist you in applying for grants/assistance in going back to school or work. When I came into Healthy Life I was broken down in all areas of my life, suffering from severe anxiety and depression in addition to a life-long battle with addiction. I thought my life was over and I did not have the strength to care. When I joined the Healthy Life family, they had love, care and concern for me when I didn’t have it for myself. My anxiety and depression are now well managed and I am slowly building what I truly believe will be the best years of my life. Healthy Life Recovery is the best mental health/addiction program I have experienced, and a number of my peers would agree.
