I spent 28 days here at French Creek. I am currently sober a month and 11 days now. While many had complaints about schedule, food, people, whatnot... I don't have such complaints. I realized I am not seeking help with my addiction to be on a vacation, I wasn't at a five star resort ... And quickly realized that what I could gain from treatment is solely dependent on ME. Not the staff, not the clients, not the program. ME. And I dove into taking advantage of every opportunity I could at French Creek. I connected with the techs, my counselor ... I asked for self exploration work... I offered to volunteer in the kitchen... And connected with clients... I was very impressed with the simple fact that 95% of the individuals employed at the Creek, from administrative, to the counselors, to the techs ... Are ALL in RECOVERY. It made connecting and HEARING much easier and made me more eager to not just swallow, but digest the information and advice and guidance. I got a sense that the staff ACTUALLY care and are doing this job for a reason. The nurses I felt were excellent. Lindsey was my favorite! When I completed the program, I was set up with the alumni group from French Creek. And am active daily via the app, messenger, and zoom meetings. I want to shout out to Kiersten, Holly, Frankie, Michelle, Liz, Q, Kerri, Justin, Tiny, Wendy, Lori, Kaylee, Kat, Patrick, Joe, Lisa, Jessica, Amber, Lindsey and Heather. I wasn't serious about my sobriety when I arrived, but by the time I left, I was. And I left with confidence in my ability and desire to maintain my sobriety and take recovery seriously. I want to thank everyone from the bottom of my heart for everything and for helping me decide to remain sober. Truly changed my life! UPDATE: I am now over 70 days sober. No relapses.

Hoffman Homes for Youth is an outstanding organization making a profound impact in our community. They are doing incredibly important work, and I am grateful to have witnessed it firsthand. I had the privilege of volunteering at their Gala this past November and later visiting their facility. Through this, and through my connection with Janise Bankard, I have been able to see even more closely the heart and dedication behind their mission. Janise’s commitment, passion, and genuine care for the youth they serve truly exemplifies what Hoffman Homes stands for. Her energy and compassion reflect the spirit of an organization that is determined to lift up young people who have endured incredibly difficult circumstances. Every staff member I have encountered shares that same drive to make a DIFFERENCE! Their patience, compassion, and unwavering support to help their youth grow, recover, and rebuild their futures is truly outstanding!! I strongly encourage anyone reading this review to support Hoffman Homes for Youth in any way they can; whether by volunteering, attending events, or offering financial contributions. Organizations like this change lives, and they thrive because of community involvement. I will be volunteering again and helping any way that I can!

Blueprints can help you change your life, if you let them. The little things like the comfortable mattresses, ability to keep your phone, and a shopping allowance make your time in treatment a little easier. It's the community you build, the caring staff, and the wide range of comprehensive programming is where Blueprints truly shines. Your experience doesn't stop upon completion of PHP — Chapter 2, IOP, and GOP provide excellent continuity of care. Even if you don't opt for any aftercare, you will still have a strong foundation upon discharge that will help set you on a successful path to a better life. My only complaint with Blueprints was the lack of detox & true inpatient facilities; I had to detox and do three months of inpatient with another facility prior to PHP with Blueprints, and it would've been nice to have the first part of my treatment journey begin in the same place it ended. Overall, nothing but positive things to say about my ~6 months under their care (PHP, IOP, and GOP).

Hope Hope Spring is truly the best thing that has ever happened to me. Going there feels like heaven. The environment is warm, safe, and welcoming, and all of the staff are incredibly kind and supportive. My individual therapist, Erika, is the best. She is compassionate, patient, and really listens to me. She makes me feel understood and supported every step of the way, and I’m so grateful to be working with her. The group sessions are also fantastic. The advice and encouragement you get from others in the group really matter and make a real impact. Hearing different perspectives and knowing you’re not alone helps more than I can even explain. The support, honesty, and shared experiences create something truly powerful. I’m so thankful to be part of Hope Spring. It continues to make such a positive difference in my life, and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a caring and supportive place to heal and grow.

My journey at Avenues Recovery Center at Bucks has truly been life-changing. When I first arrived, I was broken, tired, and unsure if sobriety was even possible for me. The staff didn’t just see an addict they saw a person who still had hope, even when I couldn’t see it myself. From day one, I was treated with compassion, dignity, and real understanding. Every counselor, therapist, tech, and staff member played a part in helping me rebuild not only my sobriety but my confidence and sense of self. Avenues didn’t just teach me how to stop using substances they taught me how to live again. Through therapy, structure, accountability, and genuine support, I learned the tools I needed to face my past, manage my emotions, and build a healthier future. The environment was safe, supportive, and filled with people who truly cared about my success, not just during my stay but long after.Today, I am proudly six months sober something I never thought I would be able to say. Avenues gave me the foundation, the guidance, and the belief that sobriety is not only possible, but sustainable. They helped me find my voice again, my faith again, and my strength again.I walked in feeling lost. I walked out feeling renewed, hopeful, and equipped for life.I will forever be grateful to Avenues Recovery for helping me get my life back. If you are struggling and wondering if change is possible, I am living proof that it is and Avenues is a place where that change truly begins. Thank you so much avenues - Martii

I was in really rough shape when I first came here about a year ago, and I can honestly say this place changed my life. I started with the adult group IOP and have continued seeing my therapist and psychiatrist in outpatient care—they’ve both stayed so invested in my recovery. The whole staff is incredibly friendly, supportive, and easy to communicate with, and booking appointments has always been smooth. Honestly just a superstar team all around, and I’m so grateful for the experience.

Frequently Asked Questions

How should I compare mental health providers in Pennsylvania?
When comparing providers in Pennsylvania, consider location relative to where you live or work, the specific services offered, levels of care available (such as outpatient, intensive outpatient, or inpatient), therapy approaches used, conditions treated, hours of operation, whether a website is available, accreditation status, and reviews when listed. Not all details are available for every provider, so it can help to check each facility listing directly.
What should I ask before contacting a provider in Pennsylvania?
Before reaching out to a provider, it helps to know what you are looking for. Consider asking about current appointment availability, accepted insurance plans and self-pay or sliding-scale options, whether telehealth appointments are offered, which specific services are currently active, and whether the provider has experience treating your particular concern. Availability and services can change, so confirming details directly with the facility is recommended.
Are all services listed on Mental Health US available at every facility?
No. Services vary by facility and may change over time. The information shown in each listing reflects what was available when the record was created or last updated. Always confirm current service availability, hours, and intake procedures directly with the provider before visiting or calling.
Can I find both mental health and substance use treatment providers in Pennsylvania?
Yes. Mental Health US includes Pennsylvania providers that offer mental health services, substance use treatment, or both. You can use the available filters to narrow results by treatment needs, or review individual facility pages for more detailed information about the services and conditions each provider treats.
What if I cannot find the right provider in my city?
If you do not find a suitable provider in a specific city, try broadening your search by browsing all Pennsylvania providers using the statewide view, or use the filter dropdowns to search by condition treated, therapy type, or level of care without entering a specific city. You can also browse nearby city pages to see providers in surrounding communities.
