If u like hearing conflicting information and constantly hearing the words that there is nothing we can do about your child getting tormented or if like feeling helpless when it come to ur child, or u constantly hearing ur concerns about the situation is being heard and I'll let my directors know and someone will reach out to you to hear all ur concerns but then don't hear from them, or if u like being told u are raising ur voice at me even though I'm on ur side, but ur only raising ur voice is bc your child keeps telling u things that u don't like and u don't know what to do but call and complain, or if u like know that your child isn't getting the attention that she deserves just bc she is the oldest one in the pod and the younger ones need the most attention they what she does. If you like these things then Alexander youth network is the place for you to get the help for ur child for there behavioral health issues, but if u don't like these things then stay the heck away from this place bc we have been dealing with this for 2 weeks now and we only went there bc we didn't have a choice

Called simply to get info and the lady over the phone not only misgendered my fiancé 3 times while we were speaking (assuming I was married to a man) but also told me I shouldn’t be calling for the info that she should. I am disgusted. I WILL NOT be seeking help through this organization.

If I could give a zero stars I definitely would. They are so unprofessional and they ALL have nasty attitudes. When my husband joined them he signed a paper stating that they could talk to me well all was good until the therapist was supposed to come out and speak with him on a regular specifically for therapy and all of a sudden she wasn’t coming out to do therapy with him and so I asked that she call us and no calls nothing after multiple times of no calls being returned I went over her to the boss and made a report to them about her and now all of a sudden she has told all staff members to not talk to me all because she got reported! Not only that another member on the team wants to flirt with my husband like I said unprofessional. Husband called today to see if he could possibly get his day switched as a one time thing because I had a drs appointment and what happened? Of course she would not switch his day so I had to reschedule my appointment because she can’t tell us what time she was coming out RIDICULOUS! They all expect us to stay home all day until they come and leave. 🙄🤦‍♀️ I said what I said .

Frequently Asked Questions

How should I compare mental health providers in North Carolina?
When comparing providers in North Carolina, consider location relative to where you live or work, the specific services offered, levels of care available (such as outpatient, intensive outpatient, or inpatient), therapy approaches used, conditions treated, hours of operation, whether a website is available, accreditation status, and reviews when listed. Not all details are available for every provider, so it can help to check each facility listing directly.
What should I ask before contacting a provider in North Carolina?
Before reaching out to a provider, it helps to know what you are looking for. Consider asking about current appointment availability, accepted insurance plans and self-pay or sliding-scale options, whether telehealth appointments are offered, which specific services are currently active, and whether the provider has experience treating your particular concern. Availability and services can change, so confirming details directly with the facility is recommended.
Are all services listed on Mental Health US available at every facility?
No. Services vary by facility and may change over time. The information shown in each listing reflects what was available when the record was created or last updated. Always confirm current service availability, hours, and intake procedures directly with the provider before visiting or calling.
Can I find both mental health and substance use treatment providers in North Carolina?
Yes. Mental Health US includes North Carolina providers that offer mental health services, substance use treatment, or both. You can use the available filters to narrow results by treatment needs, or review individual facility pages for more detailed information about the services and conditions each provider treats.
What if I cannot find the right provider in my city?
If you do not find a suitable provider in a specific city, try broadening your search by browsing all North Carolina providers using the statewide view, or use the filter dropdowns to search by condition treated, therapy type, or level of care without entering a specific city. You can also browse nearby city pages to see providers in surrounding communities.
