I've only talked to them but they sing really educated and organized well

I had an apt with A Kayla Schafer this was by far the worst experience I’ve had with Swope. I’ve been coming here on and off since I was 18 and I’m 34. She not only treated me like I was just a number but didn’t adhere to my medical needs. She was dismissive she judged me and walked out without asking if I had any questions or concerns. She wasn’t friendly she almost blamed me for what I was being seen for. The triage nurse was so helpful and understanding. She wasn’t friendly in disbelief when I told her what had transpired during my appointment. I ended up filing a complaint in writing and through the complaint line. I would not recommend Kayla of you are visiting the Women’s clink at this location. Just because majority of their clients are working class and under doesnt mean we don’t deserve top tier customer service when dealing with our bodies and health. I am currently waiting for them to review my complaint and see how they handle it from here. Worst experience ever.

I have been coming here for four years, and every single month, they are unable to send refills for my medication on time. Every month, I withdraw from my medication and spend 2-3 days in bed and am unable to work. Literally, the only way to get them to send my medication on time is to physically go to the location and ask to speak to the head nurse. The psychiatrists are very nice and understanding, though, and that's why I am staying.

Perfect. My happy place.
Came here for court ordered counseling. Do not ever take someone here for a court ordered assessment, it will be in the county’s favor. They are paid by the county so the report needs to look good for them. They are not working for you, they are working for a county. Take you’re child or family member anywhere else but here, preferably a private counselor. Just make sure they are not paid or get funds by the county. I had multiple meeting with one of the counselors and felt she was not taking me seriously.
I was sent here in December of 2012 when I was 12 years old. I was there for depression and suicidal ideation after bullying at school and my home life imploding with my parents separating. I remember being taken here by an ambulance from the ER on the plaza. It was terrifying. It was like going to jail. No adult would explain to me what was happening. My innocence died that day. I had to beg for a phone call home, and as a kid who was very attached to her parents, being unable to see or contact them was traumatic. I remember being given all sorts of pills, trying to find the right dose, making my brain feel so confused and foggy. I remember being woken up in the middle of the night, walked to another unit and given an injection in my arm. The nurses said it was a flu shot but why would I get a flu shot in the middle of the night in such a secretive manner? That contends of that injection and all the questions I have about it have haunted me for years, and I know I’ll never get answers. I remember them locking kids in the “safe room” a padded room with no windows, and giving this girl a shot that made her pass out on the floor of the room. I remember her screams and cries quieting down until she went unconscious. Sitting in the common room being told to just look at the tv while this girl was tranquilized. I remember a staff member telling the rest of us that that could be us too if we didn’t listen. The Polar Express played on repeat on a vhs tape and to this day I cannot stand to watch that movie. I remember the sleepless nights, in that cold room with the thin, itchy blanket. The group therapy sessions where if you didn’t participate, your release date would be pushed back. The snide comments from the staff and my phone calls home being held over my head like bait. The feeling of complete desperation and loneliness. Like I had been abandoned and punished. It has been nearly 14 years since this experience and I think the trauma of it will stay with me forever. I’m a well adjusted adult with a good career now, but the lasting effects of childhood trauma will remain with me. After being released, I switched schools and ended up at Marillac a few months later, adding another layer of trauma. Reading other patients stories has brought some closure in knowing that I wasn’t alone in my experiences. While I don’t remember their names, I do remember the faces of the kids I was in there with. They still cross my mind from time to time and I hope they are okay now and found some sort of peace.

This place has been a literal life saver anytime I've needed them. They have help with applying to state benefits, and they will help you pay for meds if you can't afford them. They've covered all 5 of mine at least 3 times now, I cannot thank them enough
I felt like this is a scam. I was referred for talk therapy. I spoke with someone who is not a Dr at the end of the day for my first appt and had been looking forward to it. They wanted to go over my meds and I understand that and wanted a quick overview of my life. (Less than a 30 min appt) In this time this person tells me she wants to charge me $250 a visit. No talk therapy. She wants to do a treatment that involves eye movements. I want to talk to someone only! I told her I would consider rescheduling. She scheduled me for another appt. Called me the next week and left a voicemail saying she is worried about me. She also wanted to give me new diagnosis and more.
