The Hub: Behavioral Health Action Organization for Southwest Connecticut is the designated Regional Behavioral Health Action Organization (RBHAO) serving the communities of Bridgeport, Darien, Easton, Fairfield, Greenwich, Monroe, New Canaan, Norwalk, Stamford, Stratford, Trumbull, Weston, Westport, and Wilton. This vital organization functions as a central coordinating body, uniting local stakeholders, prevention councils, and community partners to address pressing behavioral health challenges, including mental illness, suicide prevention, substance misuse, and problem gambling. By bridging the gap between local needs and state-level initiatives, The Hub ensures that resources, prevention strategies, and support services are accessible and effective for individuals and families across the region.
In addition to coordinating prevention and recovery efforts, The Hub offers free resources such as online mental health screenings, Naloxone (Narcan) training to combat opioid overdoses, and educational programs for the public and decision-makers. The organization tailors its services to meet the needs of diverse populations, including young children, teens, older adults, parents, educators, the LGBTQ community, and individuals navigating maternal mental health concerns. Through advocacy, community collaboration, and a focus on wellness practices, The Hub empowers individuals to take charge of their behavioral health, find pathways to recovery, and connect with critical services that foster resilience and long-term well-being.
