Saint Mark’s Place Institute for Mental Health, also known as UNITAS, is a comprehensive outpatient mental health and substance use treatment center located at 57 St. Marks Place in New York City's East Village. Established in 1983 by Dr. Roman Pabis, the institute is dedicated to providing integrated, person-centered care that addresses the mental, emotional, and physical health needs of adults aged 18 and older.
The facility offers a wide range of services, including individual, group, and family psychotherapy, psychiatric evaluations, medication management, and primary care services. Specialized treatments such as Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS) and Ketamine-Assisted Therapy are available for individuals with treatment-resistant depression and other mental health conditions. The institute also provides substance use disorder treatments, including outpatient detoxification, Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT) with Suboxone and Vivitrol, and court-mandated programs for DUI and DWI offenders.
