We had an absolutely amazing overall experience at Family First. We were very reluctant to send our son anywhere for treatment as this was our first experience with anything like this. Our therapist in Dallas felt confident through his connections that Family First is the best in the industry. After an incredibly thorough and heart felt conversation with Tom, the admissions director, we knew this was the right decision for our family. Their incredible communication throughout was most impressive. Every single employee was so empathetic, kind, professional and compassionate. We felt so connected with our son throughout the experience thanks to the amazing staff who were always just a text away. Cyrus, Chris B, Haley (the nurse) - everyone was over the top giving of their time and guidance. Dave, our therapist, was an absolute God send. The most impressive aspect of Family First is the commitment to the family as a whole - not just our son. Weekly parent/therapist educational meetings, support groups - it's an entire community who supports one another. I've never experienced anything so supportive. We are now at Crossroads which was the next step for us after Family First and the aftercare support is unbelievable. Kevin has been a lifeline for all of us through the transition. My son frequently asks about several of the employees at Family First as he became so close to many of them while there. I highly recommend Family First and am so grateful for our very positive experience thanks to the amazing staff/overall program.

I was very impressed with Sunset House and Meadows Recovery Center. I recently received treatment at the facility and I can honestly say that the experience was informative and rehabilitative with my struggles with alcohol addiction. The Center provided a safe comprehensive program where I came to know and more fully appreciate the issues I needed to deal with. They also gave me the necessary tools to have a positive recovery and avoid the pitfalls in life that would lead to relapse. I left Sunset House persuaded and encouraged to forge a healthy path for me and my loved ones. I can’t say enough about how great the experience was.

I have never been to rehab before. I came to Florida from Washington stat because of the reputation Desert Rose had. Desert Rose was not just a detox, a place to sober up. It was a mind and body learning experience. They manage my medications. They provided massage, pressure point, and other wellness therapies. They go into great depths to not only help me detox but they educated me on why I am an addict. How to manage my addiction. My family was included in my treatment. They provided very comfortable housing, outings and daily AA meetings.

I’ve never been grossly mistreated, neglected and my treatment needs were handled in this situation. Not only by cornerstone psychiatric care as a whole but even more so their primary psychiatrist “Dr. Jaison Nainaparampil” Not only was I grossly mistreated. Despite all this I was left without sufficient medication despite being told it was policy not only by their practice but as state guidelines that if a medication was confirmed and agreed upon during a session. Even if terminated as a client that the practice is obligated to follow that 30 days following termination. Which is one of the many things they rescinded when it was convenient to them. So they operate as if following the best of needs for their client as well as that they will follow state, legal, moral, ethical guidelines. But when it suits them they pick and choose which they follow.
