Mendota Mental Health Institute

Mendota Mental Health Institute, located at 301 Troy Drive in Madison, Wisconsin, is a state-operated psychiatric hospital accredited by The Joint Commission. Serving primarily adult men requiring court-ordered competency evaluations and treatment, MMHI also provides comprehensive forensic psychiatric services, treatment for individuals found not guilty of criminal activity by reason of mental illness, and specialized geropsychiatric services for elderly patients experiencing both emotional and neurological conditions.
