Located at 284 Broadway Avenue in Youngstown, Ohio, the COMPASS Family & Community Services Broadway Crisis Stabilization Unit (CSU) is a 24-hour residential facility providing short-term crisis stabilization for adults experiencing acute mental health challenges. This 15-bed unit serves individuals who are stepping down from inpatient psychiatric hospitalization or who require an intermediate level of care as an alternative to inpatient admission. The program focuses on stabilizing immediate crises, reducing psychiatric symptoms, and preparing individuals to transition safely to a less restrictive level of care.
The Broadway CSU offers comprehensive services including diagnostic assessment, individual therapy, group therapy, substance use counseling, medication evaluation and monitoring, case management, and structured therapeutic recreational activities. The facility also provides life skills training to promote independence and long-term recovery. Individuals with co-occurring disorders are eligible for admission, ensuring integrated treatment for both mental health and substance use concerns.
