Center for Families at 101 Phoenixville Pike, Malvern, Pennsylvania, provides integrated, evidence-based outpatient and day treatment services for children, adolescents, teens, and young adults, ages 13 to 18. The center’s Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP), Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP), and outpatient services are designed to address a wide range of mental health challenges, including anxiety, depression, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), mood disorders, behavioral challenges, substance use disorders, and eating disorders. Each client receives an individualized treatment plan developed by a multidisciplinary team of psychiatrists, licensed therapists, registered dietitians, and teachers to support both clinical and academic growth.
The center offers individual therapy, family therapy, parent-focused psychoeducation, evidence-based treatment, psychiatric services, medication management, life skills training, academic support, and substance use awareness. Therapeutic approaches include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Attachment-Based Family Therapy (ABFT), as well as experiential, adventure, art, music, and yoga therapies. Teens participate in both indoor and outdoor experiential activities such as kayaking, paddle boarding, hiking, and other adventure-based programs, promoting self-esteem, resilience, and healthy social connections.
Through these structured programs, Center for Families empowers teens to develop coping skills, rebuild family relationships, enhance self-awareness, and strengthen emotional regulation. Parent engagement is a core component, helping to create lasting improvements in family dynamics and supporting successful reintegration into school and community life.
