CALM Center

CALM Center, located at 6126 East 32nd Place in Tulsa, Oklahoma, is a specialized community mental health facility dedicated to supporting children and adolescents in crisis. Since its founding in 1982, the center has provided comprehensive behavioral health services to over 12,000 youth and families across northeastern Oklahoma each year. Certified in the internationally recognized Sanctuary model of trauma-informed care, CALM Center focuses on creating a safe and structured environment where clients can pause, gain perspective, and develop personalized plans to address their mental health needs.

The center offers a full spectrum of services, including assessment and diagnosis, medically supervised detox, medication management, grief recovery, and both individual and family therapy. Specialized approaches such as art, music, and pet therapy, alongside group coping skills sessions, help clients process trauma and build resilience. The CALM Center’s crisis program provides immediate support for youth ages 10 to 17, addressing emotional, behavioral, and substance use crises, including suicidal ideation and defiant behaviors, with a multidisciplinary team of psychiatrists, nurses, therapists, and life skills coaches.
