Brighter Path Montgomery

Brighter Path Montgomery, established in 2013, is a secure residential treatment facility in Montgomery, Alabama, serving adolescent females ages 12 to 18 in need of intensive behavioral and emotional care. Licensed for 20 intensive care beds by the Alabama Department of Human Resources, the program is designed for youth who have experienced trauma or a series of unsuccessful placements in outpatient or psychiatric settings. Using the Guided Group Interaction (GGI) model, the facility emphasizes positive peer engagement, values development, and leadership building to foster long-term healing and personal growth.

In addition to GGI, Brighter Path Montgomery incorporates evidence-based approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Trauma-Informed Care, and the Girls Circle gender-specific model. The program offers a comprehensive range of services, including individual, group, and family therapy, substance use education, psychoeducational groups, medication monitoring, and life skills development. Educational support is SACS accredited and tailored to meet both general and special education needs. Commonly treated conditions include Conduct Disorder, Bipolar Disorder, Major Depressive Disorder, ADHD, and trauma-related challenges.
