Amend Treatment

Montare is one of the best facilities for mental health and addiction recovery I’ve ever been to! From the program director, therapists, and medical staff to the techs, housekeeping, and chef - each staff member goes above and beyond to ensure each individual has a safe, therapeutic environment that sets them up for success. The groups and group facilitators were top notch with various topics ranging from dance and movement therapy to discussing a TED talk on the brain and everything in between. The actual facility is like an oasis or paradise, going on frequent outings to the beach or Malibu canyon to hike made the patients feel like human beings. I would personally recommend Montare to ANY family or friend who may need help with their mental health and/or substance use. Lots of healing happens at Montare!!!

Knowing that you need to go to a residential treatment facility is frightening, but Oro House makes it as comfortable as it can be under the circumstances. Yes it feels like a resort, but that makes it so that you can focus on you - why you need treatment, how to get better, and how to stay sober. If you're determined to beat addiction, the staff is determined to support you. Instead of forcing a one-size-fits-all 12-step program on you, the variety of therapies gives you lots of possibilities for growing as a person, you can find what works for you, and maybe learn more about yourself than you expected. I wish no one needed alcohol and substance abuse treatment, but for anyone that does Oro House is an amazing place to get the help you need.

now that i am 18 i am finally able to feel comfortable enough to leave a review on this place i stayed at for 2 months when i was 15 in the spring of 2022. i feel the need to leave a review because most of them are suprisingly good which has to be fabricated because the amount of reviews in that amount of time makes no sense when a max of 6 patients was allowed at each place at each time and all the reviews are from parents so listen here if you are a parent from a former patient at the facility: DO NOT SEND YOUR CHILD HERE. it was detrimental to my mental health and i felt little to no support except from two of the floor staff jess and juan who i loved and the chef who was chill. everyone else though will not support your child and give them the proper care they need so seriously do not send your child here
