Allegheny Children’s Initiative is a nonprofit social services organization dedicated to providing behavioral and mental health services to children and adolescents aged 2-21, along with their families, across Allegheny and Washington Counties in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
The agency is licensed by the Pennsylvania Department of Human Services/Office of Mental Health and Substance Abuse Services and is overseen by the Departments of Human Services in Allegheny and Washington Counties, as well as Beacon Health Options and Community Care Behavioral Health organizations.
As a trauma-informed agency, Allegheny Children’s Initiative ensures that all staff members are trained to recognize and address the effects of trauma in both daily practices and therapeutic interventions.
