Matt Millican, of Affinity Behavioral Health, holds a Master’s degree in Counseling Psychology from Pacific University in Idaho and is a Licensed Professional Counselor. Since 2008, he has focused his studies and professional work on offender-related issues.
His areas of specialization include psychosocial addictions, the biopsychology of pictorial pornography as it relates to the treatment of sexual offenses, stalking behaviors, mediation, domestic violence and power/control dynamics, and veterans’ issues.
Matt’s professional background includes service as a military police officer in the U.S. Navy, where he worked in domestic violence response, refugee operations, international law enforcement collaboration, K-9 operations, alcohol-related incidents, and on-scene investigations. He also worked in the Sex Offender Treatment Program at the Idaho State Hospital with individuals adjudicated as criminally insane, and provided case management and individual counseling for the Idaho Department of Corrections at Snake River Correctional Facility in Ontario, Idaho. Located in Idaho.
