I have spent seeing Annie for many years. She is very thoughtful and thorough. During my counseling, I will continue to go to nysrom &Associates because it always helps.

I fought for daycare for my son since he was six months old. Finally, Casandra decided to let him come to the North Minneapolis location at that time I did not know my way on how to get to the North Minneapolis location, so we waited for him to get approval for the South Minneapolis location, so he could be able to be with his cousin my son loved being able to be with his cousin I was glad they were able to spend that time together as they never got to see each other outside of daycare unfortunately, some personal things happen between me and his auntie which could have been prevented on both ends neither of us should have acted the way we both did that day we both could've handled the situation better. you guys are gonna only hear what she has to say and run with what she said happen, but not listen to my side of the story. We should've never fallen out. Things should've never happened the way they did that day. I am very disappointed with this daycare at both facilities. My main concern is, how can you guys just take a child away from his daycare I am very disappointed with both of these facilities. Casandra, you are wrong for not allowing him to come to the north Minneapolis location I learned from what happened that does not mean my son should be condemned. How do you guys say you love children but deny a sweet loving kid like my son he is the most loving kid you will ever have the opportunity to know. I will continue my parenting classes, I will not be at the facility ever again very disappointing in you Cassandra I will never ever attend another in person meeting ever again I am

This place molded and shaped me Into a man of God. Allowed me to over come my addiction. I received healing and therapy for my past trauma, hurts and hardships. These people literally loved me back to life and kept me from returning to my toxic and destructive past lifestyle. They helped me change my future and now I am finally living the life God had planned for me. Jesus Christ is my redeeming witness.

When we needed help, North Star Behavioral was there. Navigating the road to recovery for our son was daunting , and confusing. Every person we spoke to was vested in helping us understand the admission process, and continued to guide our son on the path to healing and sobriety. They completely understood the need to apply for the insurance coverage our son qualified for as well. Not sure where we would be without NorthStar and their guidance and caring help when we were desperate. Thank you to EVERYONE who cared🙏.

A family member goes here. They have helped her out and getting good results. But today I went in the lobby, like I usually do when I bring them here. But today I was informed that they have "no public restroom" that I have used before and that I must leave, even though my family member was still there. They were rude about it. Lady at the desk was not a kind person at all. If you need their services, this is a good place. If your family, stay clear.

Went through this program 2x, the second time I had Bob Bauer, an extremely good counselor. I’ve been sober for 10 years now. Kind of crazy to think about. I was reading the reviews and saw that you get 4 smoke breaks a day… that part might knock it down a 1/2 stat for me because when I was there you could smoke all day as long as there was nothing going on. Grateful for them helping me to get sober, but God kept me sober.

I have battled anxiety, depression, and self-harm for several years, and finding Newport was a blessing. When I first came to Newport I was hesitant to talk about anything regarding my mental health but, the staff helped me to open up and be honest about what I needed from them. At Newport, I was able to find new coping skills and practice using them with the help of staff. Newport plans out creative ways to help you along your healing journey. I really enjoyed my time at Newport working with the therapist and workout instructors that came in. Newport really cares about their patients and wants to see them succeed.

If you’re a traditional Native American, I wouldn’t advise going here. They took my sage, my sweet grass and if anybody knows anything about Native Americans they know that is like taking our Bible and they would never do that.

If you are looking for a behavioral health experience that feels like performance art crossed with a fever dream, this place delivers. My appointments felt less like therapy and more like auditions for a strange off-Broadway production called Waiting for the Blood Pressure Cuff. I tried to explain that the clinical environment itself was what made me anxious, not my life, not stress in general, but this distinction seemed to vanish into the ether. There was an intense focus on vitals that bordered on ritual. Complex conversations about mental health moved at lightning speed while certain measurements were treated with near-religious devotion. I could be describing the most challenging year of my life, and yet priorities are priorities. The cuff always came first. Hypothetical risks were treated as grave moral emergencies while real-world context was handled more like a footnote. Contradictions were smoothed over with vibes-based logic, which is comforting in roughly the same way shrugging during turbulence reassures airline passengers. At one point, I was encouraged to purchase my own monitoring equipment and submit daily readings. This struck me less as care and more as outsourcing anxiety, especially from a practice that already struggled with basic administrative tasks. After ending care here, I visited a new primary care provider. My vitals were checked. I was told I seemed healthy. We laughed. That laughter did not trigger concern. What became clear was that the issue was never my body. It was my nervous system reacting to an environment of unilateral, poorly contextualized control. Ironically, treatments that helped me function well in life felt destabilizing inside this setting. Ultimately, the problem was the environment, not the patient. I would not recommend this practice unless your goal is to feel like a background character in someone else’s anxiety ritual. P.S. Bonus points for the rebrand announcement email that boiled down to: “NEW NAME, SAME CHAOS. PLEASE CLAP.” Ciao.

Booked these visits through my company that were supposed to be covered in full. Spoke to someone in the billing department and was told it was 100% taken care of. Later received a bill that showed I had not paid anything. I attempted to call and was given the run around. Left numerous messages with no one calling me back. Then the bill was sent to collections. Company who was supposed to pay for it showed 0 claims ever attempted and then Northstar sent this to Collections rather than call me back. Working to fix this issue, but it should have never made it to this point. Doctor Snyder was great, but after dealing with the billing I wish I had gone somewhere else.

Poor service...lack of human compassion. distracted rude hostile. Do not recommend

I graduated from maghakian place in September of 2019. I learned a lot and you do have to make the right choices for yourself. You have to want to be there you have to want to learn and you have to want to get better.

I would highly recommend Nystrom & Associate's. Make sure you choose a therapist that is a good match for you! The therapist I have is fabulous! She's highly educated, easy to communicate with in a relaxing clean environment. I have learned so much about myself and have so much more to explore and figure out.

Very welcoming place! I have had my therapist off and on for around 2 years now and truly is someone who has taken the time to know me for who I am, and has helped tremendously.
