My decision to go to Woodlake, after years of trying to get my life back on track, was without a doubt, the best thing I ever did for myself! I had never been to a rehab, and I can't express how encouraging, accommodating and BLUNT the experience was. WL knows how to help you see yourself in a different light - a necessary part of RECOVERING from bad habits and bad decisions. Ethel was a beautiful facility - getting away from "real world" distractions in order to focus on self is a blessing! Sober living at Next Step and IOP/OP/Trauma, walked me through the past , good bad and ugly. Realizing where I was wrong/right and let me let go of all the weight I carried that I tried to forget with addiction. Being around people going through the same place in life was a game changer - not all alone trying to sort through the chaos and get sober with no support. I have almost 3 years sober (11/25), and was thrilled to become part of the Woodlake Team almost 2 years ago (10/25). I wouldn't trade my life today for anything !!! All of the staff I work with, and have interaction with are the BEST people I've ever known! WE go ABOVE AND BEYOND to help our clients as much as possible on a daily. I wouldn't know the FREEDOM and PEACE I have today had I never come here! I witness it working everyday for SO MANY - it is truly rewarding and completely works if one is willing!!!
