Mental Health Providers in North Port, Florida

I brought my husband here a few months ago for help. I had called around to see where I could bring him. After calling here, the receptionist who answered the call was very helpful and told me he could come in immediately and they could treat his adhd symptoms. I explained his situation and everything. We then packed a bag and prepared to admit him which took an emotional toll on us. After arriving, filling out paperwork, and a thorough interview, he was rejected. We were then told adhd was not treated there and they gave us a business card for a virtual psychiatrist which we didn't want. We specifically wanted an in person provider to move away from his current virtual one. The staff seemed like they genuinely wanted to help but couldn't. We wasted everyone's time and energy and were turned away with no help. How is this how the system is designed? Why were we given false information? I really hope this place is helping other people but they definitely didn't help us.

The lady at the front desk is so kindhearted and sweet and goes out of her way to help us in every way she possibly can Susan and Shannon are the best therapists around.
