Magnolia was highly recommended by my therapist, and I’m glad i listened to her. This place feels very homey, but at the same time it’s definitely high-end and has a lot of amenities that I don’t think you’d find at many other inpatient rehabs, like a theater room, jacuzzi, gym, resources, beautiful rooms. It’s also really beautiful and peaceful here, which has helped a lot during this process. The group therapy sessions are very intimate, and the people in group are genuinely non-judgmental. I work with Kristine, who has been amazing. She asks the right questions and gives me information, tools, and guidance that really fit where I’m at in my inpatient journey. I connected with her right away, and I honestly feel like I could talk to her all day everyday about anything. Dr. Smeester (“Dan”) is great. He has a very warm and gentle presence, and it’s clear that he really cares about helping people who are struggling with addiction. He doesn’t judge. he listens carefully and works through my questions and concerns with patience and care. He continues to provide information and insight that I know I’ll use well beyond this inpatient experience. I personally appreciate and enjoy being around individuals who respond, engage in real conversation, and bring positivity and care into the environment, and I get that here.
