Newport Institute’s Southern California Residential Program offers comprehensive, evidence-based treatment for young adults ages 18–35 who are experiencing mental health challenges, trauma, and co-occurring disorders. Located in peaceful residential settings across Los Angeles, Temecula, and Orange County, each facility provides a safe, supportive, and home-like environment that promotes healing and personal growth.

With California facing growing barriers to mental healthcare access and rising mental health concerns among young adults, Newport Institute is helping to fill a critical gap in the Southern California region. Conveniently situated near major airports including LAX, John Wayne, and San Diego, the program combines clinical excellence with a holistic approach that addresses the root causes of conditions such as anxiety, depression, and substance use.

Individualized treatment plans incorporate proven modalities like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Attachment-Based Family Therapy, and EMDR, along with experiential approaches including Adventure Therapy, Music Therapy, and Horticulture Therapy. Facilities feature comfortable living areas, communal dining spaces, and dedicated environments for therapy and mindfulness practices.

Outdoor programming, led by certified experiential therapists, serves as an engaging and therapeutic alternative to traditional wilderness therapy. Through this integrated model of care, Newport Institute empowers young adults to build lasting resilience and move forward with confidence.
