Newport Academy

Newport Academy’s outpatient program in Darien, Connecticut, offers evidence-based treatment for adolescents ages 13 to 17, supporting teens and their families in moving beyond coping toward resilience and thriving. The program addresses anxiety, depression, mood disorders, and co-occurring challenges such as substance use, self-harm, and disordered eating through individualized treatment plans that combine clinical therapies, experiential modalities, academic support, and life skills training.

Located in Darien, the outpatient facility provides a warm, supportive environment with small groups of same-age peers, along with art and music studios and comfortable therapy spaces. The Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP) and Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) at this location deliver comprehensive care for depression, OCD, bipolar disorder, eating disorders, personality disorders, and more. Family therapy and Attachment-Based Family Therapy are core components, strengthening parent-teen relationships and supporting family harmony during recovery.
