MY House, located in Wasilla, Alaska, is a community-focused nonprofit dedicated to supporting homeless and at-risk youth. Yes I have to say that Doctor Todd Drapper and his staff are the best I have ever had as a Doctor and his staff. I would totally recommend everyone that is going through addiction to go see them and if they do the program like it says you will have a big success and a better way of life. I stayed for 6 months and it was my first residential treatment. While there were some small things being ironed out (understandable since they are only a couple years old), this was an incredibly place for me to unwind and put all the skills I’d learned from the many one-month inpatients I’d done in the past. They provide a small campus with residential buildings and a clinical building so you don’t get confined in a building for months, and they have weekly outings.
I am so glad they opened a place in the Valley. I was in the Anchorage program and it saved my life. They aren't like you expect. They don't judge you, punish you for struggling or make you jump through hoops to get help. It's not just for Alaska Natives, and they were able to help me get Medicaid while i was out of work so i could afford it. My coworker got rides free, and they offered her help with daycare, GED, apartment, and ways to get new clothes for her kids. I wish i'd tried Four Directions first, but it saved my life. I'm celebrating 4 years in recovery next month.
I highly recommend Lisa Mrzena. She is a compassionate, caring and a well informed provider. In addition to in person appointments; I’ve been able to have telemedicine appointments as well!
