Located in Grove City, Ohio, The Buckeye Ranch Residential Treatment Services offers a comprehensive continuum of mental health care for youth ages 9 to 17 facing serious emotional, behavioral, and psychological challenges. The facility features both a Qualified Residential Treatment Program (QRTP) and a Psychiatric Residential Treatment Facility (PRTF)—the first of its kind in Ohio—providing secure, structured, trauma-informed inpatient mental health services. Youth receive individualized, evidence-based treatment including medication management, individual and family therapy, art therapy, animal-assisted therapy, and on-site education, alongside access to services like care coordination, transitional age programs, and community-based supports.
The Buckeye Ranch is a leader in youth behavioral health, using proven modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Integrative Family and Systems Treatment (IFAST). Additional approaches like Multi-Systemic Therapy (MST), Intensive Home-Based Therapy (IHBT), and Integrated Co-Occurring Treatment (ICT) ensure that each child’s unique needs are met. With a new 57,000 square foot expansion underway, the Ranch is increasing its capacity to 96 residential beds, including 20 dedicated PRTF spaces and 4 crisis stabilization beds. This investment solidifies The Buckeye Ranch’s role as a trusted provider of high-acuity youth mental health care in Central Ohio, dedicated to helping children and families grow, heal, and thrive.
