Bridgeway Behavioral Health Services – Crisis Intervention Services (BCIS) is a specialized urgent care center offering immediate mental health crisis support to adults aged 18 and older in Hudson County, New Jersey. Designed as an alternative to emergency room visits, BCIS helps individuals experiencing a mental health crisis or a worsening of an existing condition stabilize and remain in their community. The center’s multidisciplinary team, including Licensed Clinicians, Psychiatric Advanced Practice Nurses, and a collaborating Psychiatrist, conducts comprehensive mental health and co-occurring substance use assessments for all individuals who present for care.
BCIS provides same-day access to licensed clinical services and medication management when needed, with a flexible care model that adjusts to each patient’s unique needs—ranging from one or two visits to a maximum enrollment period of 30 days. The program also focuses on continuity of care, partnering with outpatient mental health centers and community-based agencies to ensure individuals receive seamless referrals and ongoing support after discharge.
