Association to Benefit Children – Fast Break Echo Park in New York, New York, is a comprehensive, community-driven mental health program offering specialized support for children and families. Led by a team of board-certified child psychiatrists, Fast Break provides a full continuum of children’s mental health services, including individualized therapy, psychiatric assessments, medication management, and crisis intervention.
Fast Break operates through an extensive network of mental health clinics and outreach programs, including four free-standing children's mental health clinics, thirteen school-based licensed mental health clinics, and five additional school-based programs serving a total of 25 schools. The program also includes Manhattan’s only 24/7 children’s mobile crisis team and a flexible, community-based care initiative known as Fast Break Plus.
Recognizing the importance of early intervention and accessible care, Fast Break offers tailored mental health support directly in schools, homes, shelters, and local neighborhoods—ensuring children receive help in the environments where they feel most secure. Their school-based mental health program provides treatment and crisis support while equipping educators and caregivers with training to better understand and respond to the emotional and psychological needs of youth.
