The Machias Outpatient Center, located in Machias, Maine, is a regional branch of Aroostook Mental Health Center (AMHC) offering a wide range of behavioral health services for children, teens, and adults. The center provides outpatient therapy, individual and group counseling, couples and family therapy, and integrated treatment for co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders.
Each person who comes to the Machias center receives a trauma-informed, person-centered assessment to create a customized care plan that aligns with their unique needs. Additional support services include psychiatric medication management as well as AMHC’s Employee Assistance Program (EAP) and Student Assistance Program (SAP), which provide confidential short-term counseling, referrals, and follow-up care for work, school, and personal challenges.
