Aroostook Mental Health Center

The Houlton Outpatient Center, located in Houlton, Maine, is part of Aroostook Mental Health Center (AMHC) and provides comprehensive outpatient behavioral health services for children, adolescents, and adults. The center specializes in individual and group therapy, couples and family counseling, and integrated treatment for co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders.

Rooted in a trauma-informed, person-centered approach, every client at the Houlton location begins with a personalized assessment to determine the most appropriate course of care. The center also offers psychiatric medication management and participates in AMHC’s Employee Assistance Program (EAP) and Student Assistance Program (SAP), delivering confidential, short-term counseling and referrals for workplace, school, and personal challenges.
