Advantage Behavioral Health Systems is a nonprofit organization dedicated to serving uninsured and underinsured individuals living with Severe Persistent Mental Illness (SPMI), Substance Use Disorder (SUD), or Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (IDD). As the designated safety-net behavioral health provider for Northeast Georgia, Advantage serves residents across ten counties: Clarke, Barrow, Elbert, Greene, Jackson, Madison, Morgan, Oconee, Oglethorpe, and Walton.
Under the leadership of its CEO, the organization is committed to delivering high-quality, person-centered treatment and recovery support services. In 2020, Advantage Behavioral Health Systems was awarded a grant to transition to the Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinic (CCBHC) model of care. This transformation reinforces the organization’s commitment to expanding access to integrated, comprehensive behavioral and physical health services.
Advantage is one of 22 Community Service Boards (CSBs) established by Georgia state statute in 1993 to provide essential behavioral health services throughout the state. The organization is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF), reflecting its dedication to service excellence and accountability.
