WomenSafe Inc is a nonprofit domestic violence shelter and advocacy organization located in Chardon, Ohio. For more than four decades, the organization has provided emergency shelter and comprehensive support services to survivors of domestic violence throughout Northeast Ohio. The secure shelter offers a safe and supportive environment where individuals and their children can begin healing, access counseling, and develop individualized plans for long-term safety and independence. A 24-hour crisis hotline ensures immediate access to guidance, resources, and emergency shelter placement.

Beyond shelter services, WomenSafe delivers individual counseling, peer support groups, parenting programs, court advocacy, and housing assistance to help survivors navigate legal systems and rebuild stable lives. Specialized therapeutic services, including art therapy and play therapy, address the unique emotional needs of both adults and children impacted by abuse. With ongoing aftercare, relocation support, and community education initiatives, WomenSafe remains a vital resource dedicated to safety, empowerment, and long-term recovery in Lake and Geauga counties.
