WellStone is the largest and most comprehensive nonprofit behavioral healthcare provider in North Alabama. Serving individuals across the lifespan—from children to older adults—WellStone offers an extensive range of mental health and substance use services through 12 facilities located in the region. With offices in Huntsville and Cullman, the organization provides care to more than 13,000 clients annually.
WellStone also operates WellStone Emergency Services (WES), a 24/7 emergency care facility designed to support individuals facing mental health or substance use crises. WES is open to all residents of North Alabama and offers immediate, compassionate care at any stage of a person’s recovery. No appointments are required, and both walk-ins and drop-offs are welcome.
