The Center for Progress and Excellence, located in Fort Myers, Florida, provides comprehensive mental health services to individuals across Florida’s 20th Judicial Circuit, including Lee, Hendry, Glades, Collier, and Charlotte counties. The center specializes in short-term social services and outpatient mental health treatment for adults, children, and adolescents. With a nationally accredited program through the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF), CPE offers mobile crisis intervention, case management, peer specialist support, and telehealth services to ensure timely access to care.
The Mobile Crisis Response Team (MCRT) is available 24/7 to respond to urgent mental health situations, aiming to reduce involuntary Baker Acts and stabilize individuals experiencing suicidal or homicidal thoughts. Following initial crisis interventions, clients receive follow-up support including peer specialist visits and case manager guidance for up to 120 days. CPE also provides outpatient counseling on a sliding scale for uninsured or underinsured individuals.
