South Central Alabama Mental Health - Stepping Stones

South Central Alabama Mental Health - Stepping Stones in Andalusia, Alabama provides outpatient mental health treatment and day treatment services for children, adolescents, and families in Covington County and surrounding areas. The program serves children and adolescents up to age 20 through outpatient therapy, individual therapy, group counseling, family therapy, intake and treatment planning, psychological assessment, medication monitoring, psychiatric evaluation, crisis intervention, and referrals to higher levels of care when needed.

Stepping Stones also offers a Children’s Day Treatment/After School Program for school-aged youth with serious emotional disturbance or mental illness who need structured therapeutic interventions for emotional, behavioral, school, home, or social functioning. Services are designed to help children improve emotional regulation, behavior, and daily functioning, with family support available as part of care. The program serves families regardless of insurance status and offers a sliding fee scale for those without coverage.
