Provo Canyon School in Provo, Utah is a Joint Commission Accredited youth residential treatment center that provides inpatient psychiatric treatment, short-term stabilization, and long-term residential treatment for children and adolescents. The campus combines behavioral health treatment with a fully accredited academic program, offering academic support, special education services, individualized education plans (IEP), psychiatric services, and nursing staff within a structured residential setting designed to support both education and mental health recovery.
Provo Canyon School treats a wide range of behavioral and mental health conditions including substance abuse behavior, attention-deficit/hyperactivity, anxiety and trauma disorders, social developmental disorders, conduct and impulsive behavior, mood disorders such as bipolar and depression, oppositional defiant disorder, personality disorders, reactive attachment disorder, adjustment disorders, impulse control issues, disruptive behavior, school or social anxiety, post-traumatic issues, learning disorders, and separation anxiety. Treatment approaches include dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), neuro and biofeedback, play therapy, experiential and adventure-based learning, and a multi-disciplinary approach, helping students build social skills, independent living skills, and emotional regulation in a structured therapeutic school environment.
