Kootenai Health Behavioral Health

Kootenai Health Behavioral Health provides comprehensive inpatient and outpatient mental health and addiction treatment services for children, adolescents, teens, and adults in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho, and the greater Inland Northwest. Serving communities across northern Idaho, eastern Washington, and Montana, the program delivers evidence-based, integrated behavioral health care in a safe, structured, and therapeutic environment. Services are designed to stabilize symptoms, promote recovery, and support long-term mental wellness through individualized treatment planning and coordinated care.

The program offers a full continuum of care, including acute inpatient treatment for adults and youth experiencing psychiatric crises, as well as outpatient and intensive outpatient programs for mental health and substance use recovery. Treatment incorporates individual, group, and family therapy, medication management, psychiatric evaluation, and evidence-based approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Dialectical Behavior Therapy within a trauma-informed framework.
