JBS - Craig Crisis Care Center, located at 401 Beacon Parkway West in Birmingham, Alabama, is a critical resource serving individuals across 20 counties in Central Alabama who are 19 years of age or older and experiencing acute mental health, behavioral, or substance use crises. As part of Alabama’s Region II Crisis Care infrastructure, the facility plays a vital role in stabilizing individuals in crisis and providing a structured, therapeutic environment where they can safely begin their journey toward recovery. The center helps bridge the gap between emergency care and long-term treatment by providing a temporary yet supportive setting, which includes 48 beds for stabilization services.
