Those typically served by the AMHD include:
-Adults aged 18 and older (youth under 18 may be referred to the Child and Adolescent Mental Health Division: CAMHD)
-Individuals diagnosed with a serious mental illness (SMI)
-Persons under court-ordered treatment, including Conditional Release, Release on Conditions, Mental Health Court, or Jail Diversion programs
-Individuals who are uninsured or underinsured
-Victims of natural disasters or acts of terrorism
-Individuals in crisis who require short-term mental health support
