Fresh Start

Fresh Start, located at 3504 Industrial Avenue in Fairbanks, Alaska, is a state-approved provider dedicated to helping individuals overcome substance use challenges through accessible and affordable education-based services. The center focuses on equipping clients with the coping skills and knowledge they need to manage high-risk behaviors and reduce reliance on mind and mood-altering substances. With a strong foundation in prevention and education, Fresh Start offers outpatient and telehealth options that allow clients to receive support while continuing to manage their daily responsibilities in the community.

One of the core offerings is the 12-hour Alcohol and Drug Information School, which is approved by the State of Alaska and the Fairbanks Alcohol Safety Action Program (FASAP). This program serves adolescents and adults, including individuals who have received DUI violations, and provides essential tools for understanding substance use and maintaining long-term behavioral change. Guided by experienced counselor Kelly Andaloro, who brings more than 25 years of expertise in substance use treatment and mental health, Fresh Start continues to be a trusted local resource for education, prevention, and recovery support throughout Interior Alaska.
