Devereux Foundation in West Chester, Pennsylvania provides specialized residential treatment programs for children, adolescents, and young adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities, autism spectrum disorders, behavioral disorders, affective disorders, neurological impairments, emotional disorders, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), and dual diagnosis. Programs include Autism Intensive Residential Services, a Behavioral Health Psychiatric Residential Treatment Program (PRTF), and a Dialectical Behavior Therapy program designed for youth who require structured, 24-hour therapeutic support due to significant emotional and behavioral challenges.
Core services include psychiatric services, clinical services, family support programs, parenting classes, behavior interventions, life skills training, substance abuse counseling, and functional behavioral assessment. Treatment approaches incorporate applied behavior analysis (ABA), picture exchange communication system (PECS), positive behavioral interventions and supports (PBIS), trauma-informed care, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), and dialectical behavior therapy (DBT) to help individuals improve emotional regulation, communication, behavior, and daily living skills while working toward greater independence and long-term stability.

It would be hard to overstate the positive impact that the Ethos West Chester family has had on my recovery and my family's well-being. Admitting I was an alcoholic as a middle-aged :) man with a family and career was terrifying. From my first IOP meeting, my welcoming and respectful Ethos therapist helped me become part of a recovery family and displace shame with pride. His knowledge and guidance were so important to my early sobriety. Long after completing my IOP, I continue to value weekly meetings with my GOP group. This is a family I love and trust as we help each other grow in our sobriety and deal with life as it comes, with the guidance of our exceptional therapist, her clinical expertise and practical experience. For me, continued therapy at Ethos has been an excellent complement to my growth in 12-step work. My wife has been able to build her own recovery family in the Family Group on Wednesday nights with Pat. This is an incredible resource, as our loved ones also need community and professional guidance as they learn about our addiction, start to heal themselves and handle life (we are a lot to deal with!). As a customer, my family has been treated with respect and care by everyone from founders to interns and billing staff. As a client, my treatment experience with Ethos continues to be life changing.
