Center for Discovery

Center for Discovery Houston is an outpatient treatment center that has been providing specialized care for individuals with eating disorders since 2015. Serving all genders and ages, the facility offers both partial hospitalization (PHP) and intensive outpatient programs (IOP) designed to help individuals build healthy relationships with food, develop coping skills, and foster a strong support system through individual, group, and family therapy.

The treatment approach is highly individualized, incorporating evidence-based methods such as Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), and expressive therapies like art therapy. Family involvement is a core component, with therapeutic guidance aimed at helping loved ones understand the emotional and social complexities of eating disorders.

Center for Discovery Houston also offers Path to Peace, a dedicated program for binge eating disorder, and utilizes the CARE-CFD Model (Consistent Attuned Relational Eating) to guide trauma-informed, weight-inclusive nutritional care. This model prioritizes collaboration, nervous system regulation, and adaptability to the patient’s life context, promoting lasting recovery in a compassionate, whole-person environment.
